BOAT DOCKS
UPDATES FROM THE DOCK COMMITTEE 2020
To: Cabin Owners/Slip Licensees
From: The Dock Committee
A meeting of slip permitees was held. This letter outlines issues that were discussed and decisions that were made at the meeting. The common themes of the issues discussed were: safety, courtesy, and respectfulness.
Please review and follow these simple rules:
-
Do not “tie off’ boats or other water craft to the outside end of any dock. Effective immediately, those in violation will have their boat removed. An attempt will be made to notify the owner.
-
Do not “beach” paddle boats, canoes, kayaks or sail boats on the sand in the swim area, or between the docks.
-
The basic rules for use of the docks are posted at the entrance of each dock. Please obey the rules established by the majority of boat owners.
-
Do not run on the docks.
-
Do not swim between the docks. Use the swim area.
-
Do not block other owners from their slip space with ice chests, chairs, canopies or any other obstruction.
-
Dogs must be leashed at all times. Your dog is cute and different but still needs to be leashed. Use the new Dog Poop bags and dispose of properly.....in the dumpster!!!!
-
Fishing is NOT allowed from the docks as it is a safety issue and BBQ's should be keep on shore for safety reasons. We have had many complaints regarding fishing from the ends of our docks, don't be one of them. There is plenty of shoreline to fish from.
-
We owe it to each other to use common sense and courtesy when using the docks. We must act responsibly and safely at all times. In doing so, we will allow everyone to enjoy using the docks to the fullest extent.
-
Thank you for your cooperation and consideration of others. If you have any comments, concerns or questions contact the dock master Don Potts , don@tentworks.com or call or text (818) 262-1331.
